भा.कृ.अनु.प.-कें.उ.बा.सं., लखनऊ द्वारा उपोष्ण फलों (आम, अमरूद, नींबू एवं अनार) में नाशी जीव प्रबंधन का आयोजन

भा.कृ.अनु.प.-कें.उ.बा.सं., लखनऊ ने हिमाचल प्रदेश के बागवानी अधिकारियों हेतु आम, अमरूद नींबू एवं अनार के विशेष संदर्भ में उपोष्ण फलों में कीट प्रबंधन पर दिनांक 22-25 मार्च, 2021 के दौरान चार दिवसीय प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया। जिसमें बागवानी निदेशालय, शिमला -2, हिमाचल प्रदेश के छह अधिकारियों ने प्रशिक्षण में भाग लिया। कार्यक्रम के आरम्भ में, डॉ. शैलेन्द्र राजन, निदेशक भा.कृ.अनु.प.-कें.उ.बा.सं. ने उपोष्ण फलों की फसलों में कीट प्रबंधन के महत्व पर प्रकाश डाला। उन्होंने फलों की फसलों के फ़ीनोलॉजी के अध्ययन के महत्व को भी रेखांकित किया। डॉ. एच.एस. सिंह, प्रभागाध्यक्ष, फसल संरक्षण विभाग ने बताया कि बदलते कृषि पारिस्थितिकी प्रणालियों के तहत कम से कम कीटनाशक के उपयोग के साथ समय पर कीट प्रबंधन टिकाऊ उपज प्राप्त करने के लिए महत्वपूर्ण है। प्रशिक्षण व्याख्यान के दौरान फेनोलॉजी आधारित से संबंधित कीटनाशक आवेदन हेतु विनिश्यच, कीट एवं रोग की पहचान तथा आम, अमरूद, नींबू एवं अनार में उनके समुचित प्रबंधन, आम एवं अमरूद हेतु अच्छे कृषि प्रथाओं (जी.ए.पी.), कीटों को कम करने हेतु आम एवं अमरुद में छत्र प्रबंधन, जैविक कीट दमन, कीट प्रबंधन में छिड़काव विधि तथा जैविक विधि से पेड़ के स्वास्थ्य प्रबंधन आदि का वैज्ञानिक संकाय द्वारा जानकारी व्यावहारिक प्रदर्शनों एवं प्रक्षेत्र भ्रमण के साथ दी गयी। प्रशिक्षुओं को फ्रूट फ्लाई ट्रैप के निर्माण, मिली बैंड निर्माण, बोर्डो पेस्ट को बनाने आदि के बारे में भी प्रशिक्षण दिया गया। प्रशिक्षण, बागवानी निदेशालय, शिमला -2 हिमाचल प्रदेश द्वारा प्रायोजित किया गया था। वैज्ञानिक डॉ. गुंडप्पा एवं निधि कुमारी, वैज्ञानिक ने कार्यक्रम का समन्वय किया।

ICAR-CISH, Lucknow organized four days training programme on ‘Pest management in sub-tropical fruit crops with special reference to mango, guava, citrus and pomegranate’ during March 22-25, 2021 for the Horticulture officers of Himachal Pradesh. Six officers from Directorate of Horticulture, Shimla -2, Himachal Pradesh participated in the training. At the outset of the programme, Dr. Shailendra Rajan, Director ICAR-CISH emphasized the importance of the pest management in subtropical fruits crops. He also underlined the importance of studying the phenology of fruits crops. Dr. H.S. Singh, Head, Division of Crop Protection, said that under changing agro ecosystems timely pest management with minimal pesticide usage is crucial to get the sustainable yield. During the training lectures pertaining to Phenology based decisions for pesticide application, Pest and disease identification and their integrated management in mango, guava, citrus and pomegranate, Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) for mango and guava, Canopy management in mango and guava for pest reduction, Biological pest suppression, Spray techniques in pest management and Organic way of tree health management etc. were given by the scientific faculty of the institute along with the practical demonstrations and field visits. Hands on training were also conducted to the trainees on fruit fly trap preparation, mealy band preparation and Bordeaux paste preparation etc. Training was sponsored by Directorate of Horticulture, Shimla -2 Himachal Pradesh. Dr. Gundappa, Scientist (Agril. Entomology) and Dr. Nidhi Kumari, Scientist (Plant pathology) coordinated the programme.
